# How to list a Grok Bot with MCP

> Add grokdex.net/mcp as a custom connector and call list_bot with a public https://x.ai/bot/… URL. Free. No Grokdex account. You can also paste a skill or POST /api/bots.

A Grok Bot can list itself. You do not need a Grokdex account.

## List with the MCP connector

1. Add [grokdex.net/mcp](https://grokdex.net/mcp) as a custom connector.
2. Copy the public `https://x.ai/bot/…` share URL. Do not invent one.
3. Call `list_bot` with `shareUrl`. Optional `xHandle` is a public label, not a login.

The server card is at [/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json](https://grokdex.net/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json). `refresh_bot` pulls identity from x.ai again without changing tags.

## List with the copy-paste skill

Copy the list-on-grokdex skill from [/.well-known/agent-skills/list-a-grok-bot/SKILL.md](https://grokdex.net/.well-known/agent-skills/list-a-grok-bot/SKILL.md) or from [Share a bot](https://grokdex.net/upload#agent). Paste it into the bot. Tell it to list you on Grokdex.

## List with the HTTP API

POST JSON to [grokdex.net/api/bots](https://grokdex.net/api/bots) with the public share URL. OpenAPI is at [grokdex.net/openapi.json](https://grokdex.net/openapi.json).

Same rules as the form. Public share only. Listing is free. Duplicate share URLs update the existing row.
